GMAC Streamlines Registrations with Resolve

There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes in the automotive finance industry, and it's all about process. Once the dealer has sold or leased a vehicle to a customer, a contract is created, and the car, truck, or SUV is licensed. Contract documents are then processed with the organization's head office, and the process for PPSA registration kicks in.

For automotive financing company GMAC, these processes used to be paper-based and time-consuming. Realizing they could achieve improved efficiencies in both, the company decided to trade its paper-based processes for an electronic transaction processing capability. GMAC turned to industry leader CSRS, now a part of Resolve, for the solution.

Prior to outsourcing its registration processes to Resolve, GMAC had to apply for registration in a paper-based format. Each request had to be written up, approved, and sent to the appropriate registry office. Once sent, the Administration section then had to wait, often for days, to receive the registration confirmation. Additionally, once the complete file – from contract to registration — was completed, the paperwork had to be stored for possible future retrieval.

Using electronic registration processes from Resolve, GMAC has been able to save significant time, money, and physical warehousing space.

With a solution for streamlining their operation with the electronic imaging of customer files, GMAC can now pull up a file in 7 seconds or less, dramatically improving response time and enhancing customer satisfaction.
